Hap

Hap is an active and playful dog who came to us all the way from the Caribbean island of Antigua! He loves to be where the action is and would do well in an active home that has plenty of time to dedicate to him and his playtime!

Hap is often a little too excited when he sees other dogs and doesn’t know what to do with himself, so he has a tendency to come off overly strong with other dogs. Our Rehabilitation and Training team is working on helping him learn to say “hello” to other dogs with a little less enthusiasm. He’ll likely need to continue some of this training once he’s in a home and will do better with 1-on-1 attention he can only get in a home environment. He’s made some really great progress, and is starting to have some monitored playtime outdoors with other dogs!

Hap is just an awkward teenager who needs a bit of guidance and structure. Hap would do best with a somewhat experienced adopter with no young children who can help lead him in the right direction. Contact Animal Haven for more information on Hap!
