She's a fun-loving young dog who just wants a pal and you honestly could not ask for a more fabulous dog! Lexie gets along with other dogs, we think cats, and likely most children - but she does like jumping up to give hugs! She is a highly social and affectionate dog who always has a wagging tail and a big smile on her face. Lexie is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, a non-contagious, mosquito-borne disease. The good news is that Animal Haven is completely covering the costs, but she'll have to remain somewhat low-key during her treatment. This means lots of puzzle toys and brainwork to keep her entertained since she can't partake in strenuous activities like the dog park or very long walks.
