Animal Haven & COVID-19

While we have not been directly affected by any known cases of coronavirus/COVID-19, Animal Haven is working diligently to be socially responsible and protect the public, our employees, volunteers, and ultimately our animals.

Until further notice, we will be open by appointment only. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Please contact us to schedule an appointment!

How can I help?

  • Make a monthly gift or one-time donation to our Emergency Action Fund to support the care of our animals and to help animals affected or displaced by COVID-19.
  • Increase your impact by calling on your friends, family, and community to pitch in! You can create personal fundraising pages on Animal Haven’s donation platform or on Facebook and ask your network to make a gift for the animals.
  • Adopt a dog or cat from Animal Haven, or encourage your friends and family to do so! #SocialDistancing is much more fun with a pet!

Do you need fosters?

We’ve received so many generous offers to foster our adoptable animals, and we are incredibly grateful! At this time, we are utilizing only our group of trained, active volunteers for our foster program.

Do you need volunteers?

Our volunteer program is currently on hold and we are not accepting new volunteers at this time. As we attempt to reduce foot traffic in and around our shelter to only essential animal care personnel, we are limiting new and current volunteer activity at Animal Haven. You can visit our volunteer page for the latest updates on the status of our volunteer program.

Do you need supplies?

Yes! That said, the best way to donate supplies is to do so via our Amazon Wishlist. In order to reduce face-to-face interactions and reduce the risk of community spread, we are currently accepting in-person donations by appointment only. Please reach out to us before bringing by any donations so we can ensure a safe and contact-free drop off.

If you have any further questions or would like to make an appointment to meet our adoptable animals, please contact us!
