We adopted our beloved chihuahua mix, Beau, in 2006 from Animal Haven in Queens. He passed away this August after a happy life with us for 12 plus years. We saw Dixie and fell in love with her. She’s been adapting so well to us and the house and her walks. She thinks the blowing trees are a bit odd and worthy of comment. She was after all a downtown girl. Amazingly she has made no elimination mistakes. She lets us know when she wants to go out. We got her a nice new harness and collar. We set up several cushy places for her to choose among as she hangs with us. We can’t tell you enough how much she has already RESCUED US.
