Caring Kids Session 1

Description: Youth will take  a tour of the new shelter and learn about how they can speak up for animals. They will learn about ways that animal shelters help our dogs and cats, wildlife rehabilitation centers care for wildlife, and how farm sanctuaries rescue animals like cows, pigs, and chickens. They will participate in age appropriate activities around the shelter to help the shelter’s dogs and cats and engage in service projects for wildlife and farm animals. At the end of the program there will be an official Caring Kids: Animal Ambassadors ceremony where they will receive a certificate and badge to commemorate their involvement in the program.

NOTE: Each attendee must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is permissible for one adult to be responsible for more than one child.
