Learning & Libations: Susie’s Senior Dogs @ Animal Haven
Jun 17 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Senior dogs used to sit in shelters for years with little hope for adoption. Well, not anymore! Innovators like Erin Stanton maximize social media for the greater good and helps to move older dogs out of shelters like Animal Haven and into loving homes across the country. Come to Animal Haven on June 17 at 6 PM and meet Erin Stanton and learn about her popular project, Susie’s Senior Dogs while enjoying a drink. This is the first “Learning & Libations” session and we hope you will join us as we share a toast to how Erin engages the animal welfare community to produce successful adoption and awareness results for senior pets.

Humane Society International: The Landscape of International Animal Welfare

Are you interested in learning more about international animal rescue? Come meet Adam Parascandola, Senior Director of Animal Protection and Crisis Response, of Humane Society International (HSI) and learn about life-saving efforts around the globe to address cruelty and large scale disasters. Mr. Parascandola will talk about his work with HSI and highlight some of the recent responses including efforts to close the Asian Meat Market and rescue work in the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian. There will also be a Q&A to learn about this important work.
