Maggie was about to be dumped in the cold when a good Samaritan saw the heavily pregnant dog and quickly intervened. However, her rescuer wasn't equipped to care for an expecting mother and desperately reached out to Animal Haven for help. Although we are at capacity with dogs and cats, we simply could not turn her away.
Maggie gave birth to TWELVE beautiful, healthy puppies on Christmas Eve - the largest litter we've ever had. Maggie and her newborn puppies are safe and warm at Animal Haven, but they need all the help they can get so their future stays bright.
The reality is that they are just a few of the hundreds of animals that Animal Haven cares for each and every year. We are empowered by your generosity to give these little lives the best possible chance at a future they otherwise would not have had.
This year, an anonymous group of Animal Haven's closest friends have come together and pledged to DOUBLE the value of all donations made before the end of the year, up to $50,000.
There isn't a better time to be a hero for animals like Maggie and her 12 newborn puppies, who had nowhere else to go in their greatest time of need.
All gifts will be MATCHED until the new year!
