Goldie was rescued over the summer from a hoarding situation in Mississippi where over 90 dogs were being kept in terrible conditions. Thankfully, all of the dogs were rescued from the property and nearly all have been rehomed! Goldie was understandably very nervous when she arrived in New York City, after all, it was a massive change for this southern gal, but her adopters say Goldie has undergone a complete transformation!
"It has been amazing watching Goldie come out of her shell. She was so scared for the first few weeks which was devastating, but it made it so rewarding when she started acting like a carefree puppy. After just a couple months, she’s cuddling with us, going crazy when we come home and doing really well with training. She even has a best friend in the building named Hector. It’s so funny to see her so spoiled. We’re pretty sure she lived outside for the first few years of her life. Now, she only sleeps on her bed, our bed, or the couch. And she wears sweaters when it’s cold."
