From war-torn Lebanon to HOME! You might remember Murphy, who was rescued from the roof of a crumbling building in a suburb of Beirut. Murphy was one of nearly a dozen cats that came to Animal Haven from Lebanon. Given his absolutely adorable personality, it didn't take very long for Murphy to capture the heart of his adopter!
"I just wanted to share an update and a heartfelt thank you. Murphy has been such a joy to have in my life. Thanks to your incredible team, we’ve been able to get a handle on some of his health conditions and give him the care he deserves.
Since I adopted him, Murphy has been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as allergies that we’re now working through with a veterinary dermatologist. I’m incredibly grateful that your team covered his dental surgeries and follow-up care—your support has made a huge difference.
Murphy is truly thriving. He loves anything with feathers, curling up in laps, and watching bird and squirrel videos like it’s his favorite pastime. He is an extremely smart guy - he’s learned how to high-five and stand up (for treats of course). He now high-fives whenever he wants a snack. He’s had a tough journey, coming all the way from Lebanon, and I feel lucky to be a part of his recovery and his new life.
At the moment, he’s been wearing surgical cat shirts to help manage his allergies (he gives himself hotspots due to his allergies), but he pulls off every color effortlessly!
