Tobi Toe Beans

Different is beautiful…and Tobi Toe Beans is proof! Tobi has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a condition that affects the part of her brain that controls balance and coordination. She sometimes tips over or stumbles, but she isn’t in pain and cats with CH can live a happy, healthy life - they just need a little more management than your typical feline!

Tobi spent a few weeks at Animal Haven, where she became a staple at our front desk, before finding her home. Her adopter shared: "Tobi Toe Beans is a happy lil CH girlie living it up in a lovely warm home in Rego Park Queens! She was adopted in the very beginning of November by a very nice recently married couple who have welcomed her with immense love and the extra support she needs (nay, deserves).

"Though growing quickly, she is still as adorable as ever! She loves knit blankets, being cozy, and playing with so many toys. She lets out a chirp every morning when her new daddy wakes up and will flop over toward the stairway to welcome mommy when she comes home from work. Retrofitting the apartment has been a minor undertaking, but this couple has done a superb job adapting to having a CH kitten. The apartment has gotten a wave of new rugs to support her mobility, placed a baby gate on the stairs, and have a variety of body pillows strategically placed around the apartment. Tobi is getting stronger everyday and may never move like a normal cat, but she MOVES."
