Success Story: Sal

Sal, a 17-year-old pitbull terrier mix, ended up at Animal Haven after his person was evicted. He had spent his entire life with one family, then suddenly he was homeless. Arthritic and confused, we knew the shelter was no place for a senior dog like him. So we put the call out to our community and received an incredible response for Sal. Within days, Sal was adopted!

Sal is now comfortably in his retirement home alongside canine sister Bindi (who was adopted from Animal Haven in 2013). His new mom says: “Sal is so cute! He follows Bindi around and loves our bean bag chair. He and Bindi are already buddies!” We can’t express enough thanks to everyone who has shown your support for Sal, and for helping us give this old man a the second chance he deserves.
