El Dorado is a sweet, sensitive cat who is looking for a home that understands quality over quantity. After being adopted from Animal Haven years ago, he was returned when his family's household became busier than he was comfortable with. While he was able to coexist with one feline companion, the addition of several more family members left him feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Sometimes, a home's environment simply changes, and for El Dorado, it became more than he could comfortably manage. Since returning to the shelter, El Dorado has understandably been taking some time to readjust. Like many cats, he appreciates having his boundaries respected and prefers to build trust at his own pace. Once that trust is established, however, his affectionate and gentle personality begins to shine. We believe El Dorado would thrive in a quieter, low-traffic home where he can receive the one-on-one attention he enjoys without feeling overwhelmed.
