Fair-Isle is one of the remaining members of the “Sweater Cats,’ a group of 12 cats who came to Animal Haven from a hoarding situation. Thanks to lots of care and patience, most of the group has already found homes– and now only a few are still waiting their turn.
Fair-Isle is a sweet, easy going cat who enjoys interacting with people and exploring his surroundings. He’s especially motivated by food and enrichment, which makes him a fun cat to engage with. Puzzle feeders, treats, and interactive toys are all great ways to keep him happy and mentally stimulated.
He’s generally easy to handle and enjoys attention, but like many cats, he appreciates having his own space respected – he doesn’t like to compete with other cats for food or a toy he wants to play with. When another feline is in his personal bubble for too long, he may give a warning swat to communicate he’s feeling annoyed.
With people, though, Fair-Isle is consistently gentle and approachable. He would thrive in a home that provides a mix of companionship, enrichment, and a comfortable environment where he can settle in and thrive.
