Dana and Fox were found under a car uptown, just under a month old with no mother in sight. A good Samaritan who heard their cries brought them to Animal Haven, where they were sent into a loving foster home. These little kittens still needed round-the-clock care, needing feedings every 5 hours. Now that they've come of age, we've sadly discovered that these two are FIV+, something they likely inherited from their mother. We will be retesting them in a few weeks to confirm the diagnosis. Cats with FIV can still live long lives despite their condition and it is only transmittable to other cats through deep bite wounds.
