Shortie

Your short king has arrived! Shortie was found as a stray on the island of Antigua, where street dogs are sadly commonplace. With few spay/neuter resources and lacking animal welfare laws, street dogs are abundant on the island—and often face a life of hardship, with few adoptive homes available. Sweet little Shortie is understandably a bit overwhelmed with his new life in the big city, but has been gradually becoming more confident. He is initially tentative around new people, but will offer a small tail wag and nose boop once he knows you're no threat! We gave him a little break from the shelter, where he was an A+ houseguest: no accidents, quick to settle, good in his crate, and friendly with the resident dog. Shortie is also great on leash, and he’s the perfect size for city life. Shortie will need a bit of time to decompress and adjust to his new life here, but we have no doubt this adorable low-rider will show off his true personality soon enough. Adopt Shortie!
