Lucille

Lucille was rescued from a home with over a dozen dogs and puppies at just a couple of weeks old, the odds were against her little family. Thankfully, momma Lucille had a safe and warm place to raise her pups after arriving at Animal Haven and they all pulled through! We don't know much about her history in the household, but she is a spunky girl who raised her pups with enthusiasm - they've all found homes but now it's her turn. Yummy snacks and gentle belly rubs paved the way to her trust, as she was understandably a little nervous when initially uprooted from her previous situation with her then 2-week-old pups. Over time, she's proven to be an affectionate bouncy girl with a non-stop wagging tail when her human friends come visit! It may take a visit or two to gain some rep with her, but Lucille is loyal through and through to those who have gained her trust. Lucille can come on strong when it comes to other dogs, but has made some 4-legged friends here at Animal Haven. She's a spunky and opinionated gal, but who can blame her after having so many pups? She can get protective of her things at times so we encourage a home without young children. Come visit sweet Lucille at Animal Haven!
