Merino

Merino is one of the “Sweater Cats,” a group of 12 cats who was brought to Animal Haven from a local hoarding case. Thanks to lots of care and patience, most of the group has already found homes, and now only a few remain. All of these cats have grown very social. However, out of the bunch, Merino is the undeniable sweetheart. He’s incredibly affectionate and often the first to greet you, happily rubbing against your legs to say hello and see what you’re up to. If you’re looking for a cat that genuinely enjoys being around people, Merino is your guy. He loves attention and won’t be shy about asking for it-- but also knows when to take a break! Merino would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a cat that would be involved in your daily life. Whether you’re cleaning your house, cooking a meal, or settling down to relax, he’ll likely be nearby, ready for pets, or just offering his company. He would be perfect for a first-time cat owner, as he has a gentle nature that is very approachable.
