When Akira first arrived at Animal Haven from Puerto Rico, she was completely shut down. Akira would spend much of her day trembling in her kennel, but was gentle and friendly with our staff and volunteers. We knew there was a sweet soul in there! Thankfully, it wasn’t long before her new family fell in love with Akira!
"Akira has settled right into our family. She loves playing with her cousins in my family’s backyard and snuggling up on the couch for quiet time. Akira is so sweet and everywhere she goes people want to pet her, she can be a bit shy at first but once she warms up she is happy to sit and be petted for hours.
But don’t let her sweetness fool you...she also loves to chew up all the things! Socks, paper towel rolls, hats but her real love is Lamb Chop! She has gone through 5 already!
