Tiago

"We adopted Louie (previously known as Tiago) in November of 2023 from Animal Haven at just two months old. We had only been living together for 3 months and had no idea what we were getting into but both of us being the dog lovers we were, really wanted to give a lucky dog a warm and loving home. So we set a meet and greet with Louie who was a menace from the moment we met him, a literal bag of zoomies, but so sweet and so smart. He has been such a special addition to our little family. We are both nurses and work really long hours, some days are exhausting but nothing beats coming home to Louie. He is smart, loyal, and the best wrestler in ANY dog park! He loves hiking, steaks for dinner, and playing soccer with his dad. He is absolutely obsessed with squirrels and pigeons, so much so that he will stay glued to the window just squirrel-watching for hours and hours.
Last summer we took him with us on our road trip to Maine and he probably ate as many lobster rolls and blueberry ice cream cones as us. Not once did he have an upset stomach so til this day we joke about how he has a prescription for table food! He absolutely HATES veggies and fruits (doesn’t matter what kind); he will be so dramatic about it and start gagging and be offended for even offering. He barks at random strange men on the street and is the best guard dog against all dangers but he draws the line at garbage bags or boxes that blow in the wind! We love him so much and are so thankful to Animal Haven for allowing us to adopt such a sweet, goofy and handsome boy. He is so loved by all who meet him and so worth every headache he gives us! Thank you again for what you do, we can’t even imagine a life without Louie now."
