"A friend who had visited Animal Haven first brought Oscar to my attention. My cat Alice, who I had for 17 years, had recently died. I was still in mourning and thought it was too soon for another.
But, a few days later my curiosity got the better of me. I looked up Oscar’s profile on the website. After reading it, I thought maybe I should meet him. He looked so handsome in his photos. And I liked the idea of bringing an older cat into my home, so he could enjoy his later years surrounded with love. I was so taken with him on the first visit; I scheduled another, just to be sure...I was!
After a 5 month stay in Animal Haven, Oscar came home with me. He is such a sweet boy! Oscar loves napping, watching TV with me, hanging out by the window, and in spite of being 14 years old, running around the hallway when he accompanies me to do the laundry. He’s just an amazing, smart, loving cat and he knows he’s in his forever home, where he belongs. I am so happy that I adopted him!
