You may remember our darling tri-pawd puppy, Tess! Hit by a vehicle on the Caribbean island of Antigua, little Tess was sent to Animal Haven by one of our rescue partners. After our veterinary team took a look at Tess's injured leg, they decided the best course of action was amputation. Luckily, little Tess adapted quickly, and was hopping around like a normal puppy in no time. It wasn't long after her surgery that her new family met and fell in love with her!
Her adopters recently reached out to us with an update: "Originally known as Tess, she's now thriving under the name Bucky, named after the Avenger! This was prior to us knowing that she has a Celebrity friend in Chris Evans or Captain America! We already knew that she was meant to be in our family, but as Marvel fans, this truly stamped it!
Bucky has seamlessly integrated into our family and has brought new excitement into our home. Her playful antics and unwavering spirit never fail to bring joy to our lives. Her resilience knows no bounds, and our senior dog, Pirate, has helped her gain more confidence.
Watching her chase after her favorite toys, explore the neighborhood with endless curiosity, and shower us with unconditional love has been an absolute delight. This silly, talkative, high-energy, intelligent cutie has picked up on tricks and house etiquette with ease!
